Default Volvo 142 Chopped and sectioned in Norway.

For a couple of weeks ago, I bought this 142, which was modified some years ago in Sweden.
There is a lot of work, which has been done on this car, the body is sectioned 4 inches, and the roof is chopped about the same.
There was no engine present, but it is prepared for a B230, and I have bought a donor car, a -83 244, with B23 and M47 gearbox, with mechanical wire for the speedo.
The interior is a bit strange, everything is lower than usual, and the back seat is missing, just an aluminium plating with 5 gigantic holes for loudspeakers.

Other odd solution is the brake servo, which is located in the baggage compartment....makes the engine compartment a bit cleaner though.

The car has a flip-front, everything tips forward, and if I have to do bigger things, the front removes easily.....
I am looking for two door panels, from a 242, later models, maybe some of You have two spare ???

Lots of regards from Norway.....

I like odd and weird, while thats a cool machine. I'd have to go back to round headlights.

How fun!

That looks like a beast.
Is it just me or does the front look a little high though.

The front is a bit high, because, there is no engine, or gearbox in the car for the moment.
I bought it, without engine, because it had a B230 turbo engine, and it was difficult to know, what work had been done earlier....
So...the photos is without engine and gearbox...but it isn`t that high anyway

Very differnt.

I rember seeing a chopped 144 or 142 and a chopped and sectioned 145 with a 850 front end grafted on.

Good luck with completing the build

Interesting. Lot's of work done there, but I prefer the shape of the red one!

The custom one has some hints of the pininfarina Peugeot 504 coupe

I looked at this yesterday. It is certainly unusual. It reminded me of something and today I realised what.

Good point Billy, it certainly looks a bit like the Scirocco in the front, but I am considering a change, but has not decided yet what to do....
