Default paint code on a 79 265

Hi, where would I find the paint code on my chassis plate? I'm familiar with later 80s ones, but there doesnt seem to be anything relevant.
Is it in the version market box? 265-640-4182-15
A sort of dark bottle green metallic.
Thanks,
Jim

Hope this helps:

There are 4 groups of data at the bottom of the build plate, which is below the Version Market Type. The early Haynes manual has the following example:

Colour: 122-00-2
Upholstery: 4213-08
Option:
Spec equipm.:

It sounds like it may be the same as my 1980 244. Dupont calls it Volvo 136 Cyprus green metallic, but I've also seen it sold as VOLVO 136 GRUEN MET.

Here is a photo of the Royal Barge, does it look like this:

If it is that colour then here is a link to a company that sells it in rattle cans:

Hi Jim,

Excellent! I worked it out by looking at the Dupont colour catalogue for 1980, it was the only metallic green supplied on Volvos that year.

Yes, very 70s (or 1980 for my car). I hope yours has the velour seats to complete the picture :-)

Tan leather, but not brilliant. Would dearly love another set, same as GLT ones.
However, thats for later-needs to be ready for paint yet.
Jim.

Is it a project car Jim?

Post a few pictures and words as it progresses.
