Please don't buy an Audi, it only encourages them to make more of them to clog up the roads round schools...

Dear All,

Many thanks for your advice and for sharing your experiences, it has been really helpful.

I have decided to go with the Q7, I have found an ex-directors Sep 2015 car with all of the options that I wanted for 15k less than list. It even looks really nice in Pearl Grey with the Turbine alloys, not as handsome as the XC90 but I cannot see it from the drivers seat and intend to spend more time driving it than looking at it.

Looks aside, the allure of the silky V6, the quiet cabin and the tried and trusted electronics have won me over. It was a very close run thing for me and I can totally see now why anyone would find the Volvo the more appealing car.

Happy ownership to all of you lucky XC90 drivers.

Good luck in the Q7 - I genuinely wish you well. I've had many happy times driving Audis over the years and right now I'm wondering if made the right choice with the XC90.
Chacun a son gout ... as they say in Sweden.

Thumbs up

Tak Walter Eagle.

I am sure that you will not regret buying the Volvo, there is so little between cars these days that it often just comes down to personal preference, as you rightly say, each to thier own.
