740 for sale

Hi

I'm putting my 1990 740 up for sale as I'm struggling for storage and to be honest just have too many cars at the house

It's a 1990 740 2.0 B200F auto

It had one owner for nearly 30 years before me and was garaged every day
Currently on 72k genuine miles and has been fully serviced with genuine Volvo parts along with all belts inc timing belt and all three front seals

I got a set of spare alloys refurbed to replace the steel wheels and hubcaps and have also fitted a very rare ( for this model ) egg crate grille. Original one is there if needed along with the steel wheels if also required. Runs well and is in very good condition for its age with no rust at all ( Luke aka 360 Beast can confirm how clean this car is ) Mot to 21st Feb 2024

This is a genuinely solid car that has clearly wanted for nothing, the interior is the cleanest I've ever seen on a 700. The only bodywork issues I can remember were some scratches along the gutter area from a roof rack but try find a 700 without paint issues! Whoever buys this car will be a very happy owner and have struck gold with such an original clean car.

It's also had a recent Bosch ECT so shouldn't have any weird running issues from that for another 30 years.

The alternator looked like it was brand new, I changed the front oil seals, V belts, cambelt, oil filter (all genuine Volvo) and shell helix hx7 oil and I believe Mark has changed it since along with a Crossland air filter.

It drove faultlessly from me in Worcester up to Glasgow, this is one of those cars you could jump in and drive anywhere.

Sorry to hear you need to move this one on, but good luck with the sale, I'm sure someone will snap this up.

If only I had the space, would be a nice 'back up' to my 940.
