Woah absolutely fantastic. I must try hiring one at some stage. I think most of the 70s and 80s 4/4s had either a Ford crossflow or CVH engines. About six years ago I had a poor mans Morgan in the Marlin Roadster. It was a great machine.

Well done on passing the MOT. I take it Sweden has government run testing centres like here in Northern Ireland. The guy who owns my local car parts shop has a big Healey. It's a cracking machine. It was modified in the 70s so has flared arches and fat alloys. Looks a bit like a road going 70s Modsports racer. I'd love a spin in it. He has a thing for old Volvos as well and keeps promising himself an Amazon.

Jamie, put the brake question in a new thread. It will get lost here.

Thanks guys Peter740 yes they are government run in the main but a couple of years ago they franchised a part to a couple of other companies. Still run on the system where you have to take the car to a testing station not like in UK where most garages can do it. Mot for the Amazon is every two years and that goes for motorcycles too, they send out a reminder in the post about one month before =0)
Just briefly on the subject of braided brake lines, I was going to fit them(have single circuit and no servo but front discs yay!) but after asking around at a few garages that have knowledgeable folk concerning Amazons they said it was a waste of money unless I was going to take it on the race track, the standard good quality rubber ones are fine for everyday use so that's what I had fitted. |

Real nice to get off the train and know the ol' Amazons waiting in the car park followed by a few miles of uncluttered country roads on the way home
