Default R Design seats and more

Hi,

There appears to be two seat options for the R-design, can anyone explain the difference as it's not clear in the brochure or website?

I've spec'd my XC90 R design as following, besides air and the BW is there any essential options I'm missing? Your advice is appreciated.

Trim level
• R-Design

Exterior
• 720 Bursting Blue
• 20" 5 Spoke Alloy Wheels (Diamond Cut/Matt Tech Grey) with 275/45 Tyres

Interior
• RB0R Charcoal Nappa/Nubuck Contour Sports
• Perforated Leather Steering Wheel
• Perforated Leather Gear Knob
• Metal Mesh Inlays

Engine
• D5 AWD (20" & above alloys)

Packs
• Winter Pack
• Intellisafe Pro
• Family Pack
• Xenium Pack
• Apple CarPlay

Options
• Heated Rear Seats
• Power Folding 2nd Row Headrests
• CD Player
• Subwoofer (included with Premium Sound)

Sounds about right to me, virtually same as mine except I didn't go for Air or B&W, mine arrived at my local dealer yesterday, waiting for March 1st for Delivery. Can't wait now I've seen it!

Looks pretty much you ticked most of the boxes.
Did you not want, Seven Seat Comfort Pack??

My understanding the difference between the seats options are

1-leather with nubuck
2-full leather (additional cost)

I take it Nubuck is synthetic? Maybe like Alacantara? It looks like I'll need to spec the full leather as I have young children, my current R-design seats on my XC60 are full leather. Have you seen the Nubuck seats?

Kind Regards,

Looks great, have you seen the Nubuck seats? What are they like? I wasn't going to spec air or BW as it adds another £4K and I'd rather spend on other things. I haven't heard standard sound, is it good?

I wouldn't bother with the CD player but I'd deffo add the Auxiliary Fuel Fired Heater especially as you're going for the diesel.

My 2011 Exec has massage seats and fan cooling in the seats too.
Surely a car which costs almost twice as much shouldn't have a lower spec?

I actually spec'd the full leather option, I'm a farmer and have a 2 year old and another on the way so the full leather is more practice for me. Not heard the sound system in mine, only saw it at half 5 last night and they were shutting so didn't have chance to have a play but from what I remember one of the demos didn't have B&W and it sounded good enough to me listening to the radio.

I went for standard audio with sub woofer, sounds pretty good to me and had £2,700 left to spend on something else.

Has anyone purchased an r design with the standard seats? I'm really interested in the views of the seats as I'm not sure if to upgrade to full leather.
