Also have a strange clicking noise behind the dash somewhere. Sound like the indicator going on and off but a bit faster. Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Can't really help with the suspension mate but is the clicking noise constant, fast or random? It could be the seatbelt warning ticker

Actually hadn't though of the seat belt. It could well be just that as the last time I heard it it was just sitting in the car, no seat belt, to just get familiar with it. Then a quick drive after doing the drop link. Again no seat belt. Could be an easy result.
As for suspension issues. I've done a lot of reading. When doing the drop link in did notice that the control arm, wishbone bushes looked slightly perished and the ARB bush doesn't look great either. Read that these are a pig to change? Could use some info regarding the top mount pic is posted. The other problem I have is the ABS/Tracs light on. Could use some sort of diag software to read this The next issue I have is, and this is the bigger one. I live on the Isle of Man and the car is uk registered. We don't have MOT over here but we do have to manx test them. This means that it's almost destined to fail on ABS lights, suspension issues (that's on the n/s only at the min, haven't even seen the other side) it needs new front pads. Also once tested at a cost of £45 it will need all things sorted all nd retested within 2 weeks all do a cost of £25. Providing I can get a pass then I need to tax it to the tune of £215. Given the costs of parts etc it's starting to become a cheap but expensive car. Dilemma. |

Hey all.
Would the front wishbone joint make a metalic rattling sound? Changed the drop link to no avail. What about the ARB? Still after any info on the other things asked on this thread if anyone can shed any light please? Thanks |
