Hi folks, After 3 years at last I managed to identify and fix the whistling / wind noise on my XC60. If you examine the point at which the windscreen rubber seal meets the front panel / hood rubber seal (just right of the mirror when looking at it on the driver side) you may notice that the window seal is above the hood seal where they meet. Solution (in my case) push the window rubber below the hood seal (suggest you glue them in place) after 3 years at last no noise. Hope it works for others

A bit of thread resurrection...

My 13 plate XC60 suffers from bad wind noise around the passenger area.

It's been in for two days with no cure. Now hoping a new wing mirror will sort it. Being fitted in a couple of weeks. We shall see.

Given that this is my second XC60, I am a bit disappointed after my 09 XC60 all worked really well.

When I ask the technician who fixed outs he said to cure the whistle on ours he had to remove the mirror covers and fill the hole the wires pass through into the cabin with something similar to silicone sealent. When I asked him why it had made the noise he muttered something about naked women skydivers and walked off.
