Default How much gearbox oil for manual S60 D5 2002,210k

hi

I would love to extend the life of my lovely car and would like to replace 1st time ever gearbox oil (contrary to volvo recommendations which are quite frankly wrong). Does anybody know how much oil do i need for manual gearbox ? I've driven 70k miles with my car already and its has 210k

Regards

You'll never drain the whole amount so buy 2 litres and as long as you're careful to avoid any spillage, that will be fine.

The procedure is very straightforward as shown in this video.

in fairness my fillup was done through the dipstick hole which didnt really seem like a user-friendly option .. drain plug though your point remains

Indeed.

Fluids need to be changed. “Sealed for life” is just marketing blurb.
