I think they have extended the warranty for the hose replacement so hopefully you will be covered and I don’t think there will be a problem towing the caravan as you probably won’t even notice any difference in performance.

Thank you all for your help with the issue - much appreciated.
I have a result which you may be interested in and which may help someone else in a similar position. We are 220 miles from home with caravan and returning on Sunday. Rang dealer local to us here and spoke to service advisor (he was new in Nov and knew nothing about a PP hose problem) went and spoke to workshop manager who knew all about the PP issues!!! Advisor came back and confirmed they CAN sort this today and arranged to take car in at 2.30 so they could confirm problem and solution (and they had an updated PP hose in stock) Arrived as planned at 2.30, PP confirmed as problem, new one fitted while supplied with coffee. 60 mins later advisor returns and says all done sir and due to low mileage + full Volvo SH + fact only just out of warranty Volvo contribution is 100%!!! Returned 30 mins later with a good quality box of chocs and to thank them yet again. Tech who did the job came rushing over as he thought there was a problem - thanked him sincerely as well and we were on our way. VVVVVVVV impressed with Volvo and this dealer - they didnt have to do this today and did confirm as you had suggested I could have returned home with it - but then i would have to have spent half a day getting it sorted. This has almost certainly confirmed my new lease in March will be for another Volvo. V pleased and taking Mrs VC out to dinner tonight.
