Default 7/900 series spotting in Dorset...loads out this week!

Just wondering if any of the owners of said 7/900 series cars are forum users...In the last few days I’ve spotted an early gold 940 estate on the A35 between Dorchester and Bridport, a later gold 940 estate in Sherborne, a grey Wentworth with additional front rally style lights on the dual carriageway through Ringwood, a white 740 saloon and a blue 940 Classic estate in Yeovil and a grey Mk1 960 estate on the A37 near Maiden Newton!

I’ve never seen so many in such a short time in my neck of the woods. I gave all of the drivers a wave of course...all of the cars looked to be well cared for and regularly used which is always heartening to see.

If you spotted me, I was the bloke in the red diesel 945!

I saw a blue 940 estate when I was in Yeovil a few weeks ago.

That’s probably the blue Classic that is often about in town, black steelies and no hubcaps, all business! Lovely looking car. There is a red estate that’s often about too, not sure if it’s a 740 or early 940. I seem to live in a rich seam of Volvo goodness!

Another blue one spotted in the petrol station (the natural habitat of the 940!) opposite my house just now, with 960/GLE spec alloys as my diesel estate has. They’re coming thick and fast!!

Clocking your own cars doesn't count! (Vehicle Reporting Regulations 19-canteen, Section 1066, sub-section 1914, paragraph 92.)

However, if it had been on your neighbour's driveway...

Nice to see them about isn't it

I often see a teal greeny-blue 940 estate that either has busted nivomats or lowered rear suspension and a straight pipe rear exhaust around Yeovil.

I know the one! I spotted it in the car park of Lidl last year, I think it’s been lowered but it could indeed be riding on blown Nivos! It’s a diesel and has done close to 300k as I recall.
