Hiya, can't let all of you 300 Series lot have this section to yourselves lol+++!
I'm hoping to get hold of a 66 estate soon (in brightest 1970's green) and will be sticking some posts on here when it is all sorted. This will be keeping my Daf 46 and Triumph 1300FWD company. Ken |

Bring it on! Can't wait to see some great 66 photos. A real retro ride. 70 mph in reverse was a record breaker.
Kind regards Lucien |

Hi Ken i have still got pictures of my 1976 volvo 66 est the car was Burgundy exterior with cream cloth interior ,1300cc gle i used to get at least 90 in top speed and strangely enough about the same in reverse. There was a guy in Manchester area who 12years ago was buying them all up at that time to have as a daf/volvo museum piece.i wish i still had that little car..re sunnyvic

It is theoretical :-) the gear arangment just reverses the output gear so same speed backwards as forwards , great if you are being chased by criminals !
I had one for a trip to ispwich about 35 years ago, a 5 1/2 hour run up and the same back .. , i was doing 90 - 100 mph for hours from the south it stood up well .

Well, she is now officially mine! I went to do the deed today and I am really quite taken with her. She almost started today with a borrowed battery and an external fuel supply. The bodywork is really good with only minor piddly stuff to sort out. I shal report more as time progresses. I will try and stick a piccie on as soon as.
Just wondering, the seats look very much like 340 one's. Does anyone have piccies of a 340 seat and mountings just out of interest? Cheers Ken |

Ken, 340s had a variety of seats over the years. What year are you talking?
