Default Quoted 700 for injector

That seems a little exorbitant seeing as I can get a new set for well under 100

Is that a fair price?

Cheers

Volvo V70 d5

I think I've posted in the wrong category.. I'm sorry

Sorry I didn't come back sooner.

Well it's not the injectors. I went for a drive last night and the clutch went.

Green Flag took it to the garage (Halfords) and before doing a property diagnostic, which they will do on Monday, they have quoted 850

I've learned a very expensive lesson

Don't buy a car because you like it
Don't buy a car from Facebook market
Don't trust a guy who will meet you when you cannot find the address he gave you
Don't hand over £800 without checking book prices and without having a mechanic look at it

I've had the car one week!

I've spent the same in a sick dog this week and she will be going back on for another £350 scan this week so I'm not in the mood for people telling me how stupid I am. I KNOW how stupid I am.

I don't know whether to raise the cash for the car, or just write it off as a horrible lesson.

It's a nice car. Perfect for my dogs. But I'm so miserable right now I can't make good decisions.

Yes, I contacted the seller. As you would expect he basically told me to f off

I probably could but I have no friends local with the ramps or space needed unfortunately. I used to do my old cars many years ago but I had a garage then and the tools.

Dont pay such stupid prices my friend. If you can get the car to Chesterfield i will fix it for you. Cost of parts plus a drink or ten. Cheer up!

Are you sure it's the clutch itself that's gone? They usually slip first[can be for quite some time]
