The S90 will not lock in neutral so I use the straw as a 'getaround' to achieve what I need. Once you know where the hidden lever is it is relatively easy to do and the straw limits the damage that may be done by pocking around in the dark with a metal screwdriver.
I am sure there is a good and valid reason for not being able to lock the car in neutral but it evades me for now. If you know why or have an opinion 'silly' or otherwise feel free to chip in. I like silly!!!
I am sure there will be other safety reasons but preventing car rolling away if you lock it without the parking brake on and in neutral I would think will be the main reason.
One othe reason will be you would not be able to start your car remotely via voc as it needs to be in park to start the car (or even stop the engine) and in park with doors locked for remote start to work.
