Default how to read fault coder on a 1996

HI
how to read fault coder on a 1996
the other 940we have have a black box on the near side wing
put the probe in and count the blinks
on the 96 there is no box please help

It's in the centre console. Looks like an OBD2, but it isn't compatible with OBD2 readers. You will need a code reader from Loki on the forum. It works on the same blink process

If you search this form you will find plenty of discussion on the subject.
They read the codes in the same way as the undr bonnet boxes.

I made one built into an ODBII connector using the minimum amount of components, wired up the same as gpl1968's picture.

Hi
Thanks all but i cant find the socket
I have taken the ashtray out
and the little cubby hole above so i can see all the fuses
and relays but no socket is their any chance of a picture

It is inside the arm rest cubby, there is a small section of flocked trim inside the bottom that you will need to use a small flat blade to flick out.
