Default 414 code cabin temp sensor - its OK though

I have done it before - clean it and put it back and it worked fine for a while.
But when I put the Control Unit back (the one with the knobs on) the fault is back - when I put the ignition on, the red lights flash, the fault code is back.
When I pull (push) out the Control Unit again - everything works fin, the fan spins and the lights are green.
I put the Control Unit back - and same problem.

Does somebody know exactly where the culprit is in the circuit board?
Or has taken the whole unit appart - Im a bit afraid to take it apart.

Also - do you guys know if the temp sensor has to work for the AC compressor to run - get electricity? There is no freezing medium in the system right now and the only way to get the compressor to run is to jump wire the pressure switch at the firewall.
Relay works, fuses are OK but there was not battery Volt at the single wire getting into the compressor. I got kV readings there. Or is that because there is no medium in the system??

It irritates me that the cabin temperature sensor does not work though!

The system has to be pressurised with refrigerant and lubricating oil in order for the compressor to work. If you run the compressor without refrigerant and pressure in the system you will damage the compressor.

My cabin sensors both needed cleaning and one needed soldering because on of the sensor legs which are wound like a spring had come unsoldered off the board

We only tested it quick. It has not been working for meny years.
Shall leave it to be tested for leaks and to be filled then.
Thanks ITSv40.

Wich sensor did you resolder Winsox?
The sensor that sits together with the Tracks control, Info and Heated window and morror Buttons are. The fan inside it stops when I put the Control Unit back in the hole - and starts again when I take the Contorl Unit out and let it hang loose.

So I drove to the scrap yard and fault searched the unit och the temp sensor. It seems to have been the temperature sensor itself. Now it seem to work. The kabin temperature sensor at least. Just need to fill the system now.
Heres the old one - it had 10,6 kohm resistance (in 22 C):
