They recon mineral 2T oil added at the rate of 5ml per gallon helps keep the cat clean as it burns hotter. Or at least that is the theory I read.

The landrover doesn't have a cat but adding the 2T at the dosage of 5ml per gallon does make a noticeable difference to its smoothness.
Did not notice a lot of difference in the Volvo but that has electronics manageing and masking mechanical symptoms.

I still use Redex in my 1987 740 2.3GL saloon, Its my regular everyday car. Whether it works or not.???..who knows?.... Engine sounds sweet and it runs on unleaded fuel anyhow. Certainly does appear to be doing it no harm. You can buy it off the net for circa £8.00 a litre which gives you enough for approximately 8 full tankfulls.

That is what you want. It’s in premium diesel fuel. With fuel additives If it really works as well as the bottle states and it doesn’t have a large oil company backing it or an OEM you have to wonder if it really works. These folk can show you actual test data etc and claims backed up by OEMs.
