Blimey those must be little tyres to be that cheap. Lucky you.

In all honesty they are three top brands for winter tyres and you won't go wrong with any of them. The Nokia model may be slightly older that the others so I would go Goodyear but I could well be wrong.

Great choices, buy without worries.

I am impressed with Vreidstein snowtrac , very smooth ride , much longer life and plenty of grip . ( good in snow too but that's secondary !)

havent used any of those tires but I can defenitly recommend pirelli sottozero.

use these every winter regardless of snow / ice or normal road and they are perfect and comfy and still return great mpg. I use them to drive to Austria or the other side of czech republik and perform amazingly on the autobahn and very stable at speed as well as great traction on ice / snow as climbing the mountains. They give me tonnes of confidence even in complete whiteouts.

On my Volvo 940 this winter I had goodyear ultra grip 9's. The 8's are the previous model. The 9's cost just under £50 new in size 195/65/R15.

Before I fitted them the michelin energy savers were rubbish in the snow and any incline stuck.

They were fantastic in the snowy rural roads of Staffordshire and went out to find the steepest back roads and could stop on the hill and pull away. You could feel the tyres slip, bite in and off you go.
Impressive on a RWD 940 and an automatic.
I did test them to their limits too much once, as went from Walton on Trent, past the School towards Cotton In the Elms and there was lots of snow drifts across the lane, some 6-10ft high!
I carried on around several drifts and drove over several and the drifts were getting bigger and then thought at 1am not a good idea then too late and got stuck!

Got out and!

Snow nearly up to the back bumper blown across the open fields and I was beached on a deep drift. I moved snow out of the rear tyres track and drove forward/back, ie rocking it, until I could reverse back out the 500ft through all the drifts. Needed quite a bit of welly to get moving off the drift!
I freed myself in 10 minutes and the depth of snow in parts was 8-20 inches around the car and was impressed I got the car out.

The only negative is like any winter tyre if the snow compacts and turns to total ice then really need studs.

The braking and steering is also impressive with winter tyres. I have used my tyres for 2 winters and hardly any noticeable wear. I think 6-7 years use for me based on 4k a winter. I only took mine off last week!

I have goodyear efficient grip on my recently bought lexus and at 3 years old they are cracking in the tread. Not great. So far winters perfect.

Get your Winter Tyres part-worn. Because the Krauts are hotter on tyres than us, 'winters' are law over there, the part-worn boys are always full of them. (Usually trying to sell them in July)

Continentals, Michs or Priellis, are easy to get. £25 a corner.

Have a spare set of rims handy (£100 on ebay at most for a 99 V70), for when it gets nippy. Proper winters won't last a summer if you leave them on. Job done.
