Default Flush rails - Thule 4058 / 793 feet

Hi, flush rails on the RD, so I have just bought the xc90/60 specific Thule 4058 foot pack for use with the Thule 793 clamps (and my old aero bars).

The design has a rubber pad which sits on top of the rail and two metal feet, with a thin rubberised paint coating, that pinch the rail under the crease.

Not tried it yet but compared to the fully rubberised Thule feet I used on my Touaregs without issue for 7 years, this arrangement looks like it has the potential to damage the rails - anyone with any experience of using this to either set my mind at rest or not!

Many thanks all
D76

No worries - used the same style feet for years on my old V60 (flush rails) and now on the XC60 - I put them on/off about a million times- never caused a scratch..

Phew! Thanks for that, I always wash and clean the rails and feet’s before fitting anyway, so I’ll (try!) and relax when I first use them next week!

Can I ask where you bought the 4058 fittings - I'm searching and can't find any? Thanks.
