Default Tailgate Close Using Remote

Hi guys,
Came across this over the weekend - new post from volvosweden on how to retrofit close function for the tailgate. Pretty cool. I've submitted a part inquiry and apparently they are on backorder. A bit pricey at 55 quid...but sure would be nice to have the close function fully incorporated into electronics.

Thanks for the link. We'll have to see if we can get a group buy going.

Definitely interested. I miss this feature which my 2003 Honda Accord had (famously seen at the end of the "Cog" commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl2U1p3fVRk )

Would love this on the V70 I'm getting this week. Can it be retrofitted?
Is it even possible on a V70?

EDIT; A quick google suggests probably not! haha

I've got the guy's email address but given that I may end up being the lone Canadian in on this group buy it probably does not make sense for me to coordinate. If anyone is interested in reaching out to him on our behalf let me know and I'll provide his email.

I'll take up that mantle if you want. We can also include you in the group buy (hopefully we might be able to swing a little bit of a discount) and forward yours onto you if it works out cheaper.

Hi TT82, I am certainly interested, but will depend on final delivered price. Hope the negotiations go well !!

Cheers, Roger.
