In another post I revieled my guilty secret, that I operate the EPB with my foot to save bending to reach it. I have now modified the button to accept foot operation! Photos to follow.

Waxed and EGPed the bonnet and roof. Noticed the bonnet a bit rough in places so thinking I might clay it. Also noticed some green crap around the roof rail mounts so the need a good scrub too.

Today I fitted mud flaps(not Volvo £100 ones) that I got off ebay for £15 for a set of 4 that fit pretty good. Also found the rear pads are getting low so will need to replace them soon. Also applied some Autoglym Sealer to the wheels to make cleaning them easier. Noticed that some corners of the wheel spokes were turning brown, which I cleaned off with vinegar before sealing.

Give the xc70 a treat. GTechniq trim restorer on all the plastic trim. Awesome results. Had to buy the 30ml bottle, nearly £40 but well worth the cost and effort. Did all exterior, interior, and engine bay plastics. looking good.

Removed the pipework around the egr and then cleaned it and associated pipework.

At 85k it wasn't too bad, but at least I know it's done now.

New oil and filters too especially as I noticed the oil level had increased by 1 level on the dipstick. Nice and easy to change It will have 6k mile changes from now on.

Next job remove the DPF and clean it through with the jet washer.

Guessing the D5 would be the same?

When I get time I am going to have a clean, coming up to 100k.
