Yes that is right, that is the only way I can think of to get the order info; that is how I got various dates relevant to my order few weeks ago. There is another bit of crutial information that is also shown on the Vista system, which is the LDOC date (Last Date for Order Change). This is the date when the spec gets frozen for the order and changes can’t be made beyond that date.

I have driven several hundred miles in vehicles equipped with head-up displays and find them irritating and distracting.

The heated windscreen, on the other hand, I would have liked - and would have found useful.

It'd have been much better, all things considered, if the dealership had ordered the car as I had configured it - but there's nothing to be done at this stage other than to cancel the order, which I have not chosen to do as I do not want to inconvenience the dealer (I had contacted the dealership to double-check the order but waited a week to hear back from them, by which stage they said it was a day too late to change the spec).

Still, I suspect that electrical tape will blank off the head-up display well enough.

Why would you want to do that when it can be switched off or on easily from the centre display?

It’ll be quicker than digging through computer sub-menus (I’m not good with technology), and I understand that ‘off’ isn’t completely disabled, with some messages still capable of being displayed. And I’ve yet to determine if switching it off is a one-time action or if it needs to be done each time the car is turned on.

Just to update: I collected the car on Monday and drove it home. That made it four and a half months from order to delivery, with a change of model year in between.

Planned delivery date: 23/07
Planned handover date: 26/07

So given that the order was put on the system on 04/04, that’s 16 weeks to delivery (assuming there’s no dock strike).
We have pretty much identical dates, albeit my planned delivery date is 20th and no handover date agreed yet.

I'm now looking at 5 months for MY19 XC60 T5 Momentum.

The lease company won't tell me who the dealer is, and they (apparently) asked for the CON, but it's not available as it also gives access to commercially sensitive information. The fact that a) I don't care about their profit - I like my deal and b) Without access to a Volvo terminal I can find out nothing, is seemingly irrelevant.

I don't believe they've even asked to move to an earlier build slot, or checked if there's an non allocated factory order that can be tweaked to my spec - as I know from another dealer there are possible earlier builds that were changable. Volvo Customer Service said the CON could allow them to do this - but No CON, No help.

I'm resigned to it now - but it's ridiculous really.

Five months is ridiculous. The deeper into my sixteen week wait for a D4 the more daft that duration seems, let alone an extra month.

I placed my order on April 11, with an estimated delivery in writing of June 1...

The latest is that the LDOC is June 20, with delivery to the dealer expected August 21. So that's a Sept 1 delivery (for the new reg.) to me if nothing changes.

On order: XC60 MY19 Inscription T5 Mussel Blue/ Blonde Xenium Keyless
