Default Crossover Model - Exhaust part numbers, VIDA check??

Hey everyone,

Quick query, I have a very late Ph 1. V70, its a 2000 model year 2.4 non turbo XT.

I know it's a crossover, as it has the 5 speed adaptive box, plus I have had a bit of grief with some parts [cv joint being one] as what I have got as the correct part from say Euro's didnt fit lol, was a later one.

I am struggling to find the correct centre box / silencer for the vehicle, as there seems to be quite a few variants for the end of the Ph 1 lifespan between 1999 - 2000 model years.

Could someone who has access to VIDA be so kind as to let me know what the correct Volvo part numbers would or should, be for the entire exhust run [might as well have it for the front end for later use], the VIN is YV1LW65F9Y2657263 & engine number is 1825737.

PM me if easier to do over phone etc!

Many Thanks,

Jay

Jay -
Oddly I called FRF yesterday to ask for the cost of the exhaust for my near-identical model. I did not get part numbers though.

The rear silencer (behind the suspension) is twice the cost of the larger one in front. Gulp.
From comments on this forum the volvo-supplied exhausts look the same as those originally fitted but don't last well so I would be interested if you know who else makes them ?

Cheers
Joe

Based on your information, you'll need the following numbered parts diagram and this part number list.

Thanks for the replies fellas ☺

The saga continues, as after ringing round a few exhaust places, and looking at the Skandix online catalogue, it would appear that for a short time around 2000 Volvo decided to add a second silencer, to further reduce exhaust noise levels, hence 2 on my car and showing on the Vadis diagram above, but that many manufacturers including Walker offer a 1 piece solution with just the one centre box that goes straight to a tailpipe. Skandix reckon you can use either solution, i.e. Either a 1 box or 2 box rear section?? 😕😕

And yes, even with Skandix the rear silencer is twice the price of the centre one!!

Yep, I bought a genuine exhaust from FRF and it was absolutely rotten in 2 years, was disappointed to say the least.
This is the case with a lot of manufacturers, it's not close to the same level as assembly line quality.
Although the fitment was much better than aftermarket.

Hi, I have a 1998 V70 and purchased a single silencer from Klarius in the uk. A lot cheaper than a genuine Volvo. The exhaust is quite loud so I am not surprised that Volvo introduced a rear silencer.
