Removable tow bar
Can anyone help me. I cannot seem to get the removable tow bar on my XC60 to drop down. I can unlock it and push and turn the knob but nothing else. I presume it has seized but is brute force the answer.

Hi Michael
Try reposting your question in the main section of the forum. You have posted in sales What year is your XC60 as you are in the section for 2017 onwards ( new shape) Also some pictures of the offending item would be useful so that people with the relevant knowledge could identify and hopefully give you a solution. If you can identify the towbar by maker, even better. Hope this helps, and good luck finding an answer. Rob

Brute force may well be the answer. If you are sure it is unlocked then try tapping it with a hammer. If it has been on there for long enough it will have rusted into place. Once you get it free try spraying some grease into the tow bar holder and wipe some around the removable bit avoiding the ball.
