Thank you forum members
Hi all just a quick note of thanks for the useful posts on this forum, after 12+ years of BMW ownership I picked up a new XC90 Exec with Family Pack and RSE yesterday. Also I’m sure Volvo would like to say thanks as the posts on here also persuaded me to go for the Front Park Assist, Reversing Camera and Side Steps.
First impressions ......the car is very nice!!! The dealer was 200 miles away so a good chance to get used to the car on the drive home, on the way there the X3 3.0 Petrol averaged 29.6 MPG, on the way home the XC90 averaged 30.3 MPG. Certain bits will take a while to get used to:- The good bits:- It’ll take time to get used to the controls but overall a brilliant car and I can see why despite the age of the design people on here are very positive about them. Quick question if I may. Does anyone know if the 2011 cars should have a first aid kit? Thanks |

Congrats - and welcome to the club.
I agree about the steering wheel - I had to ask several dealers if I had received the correct one, because the wheel in my '53 SE version was more comfortable. Even the steering wheels on V70 models are nicer! |

Hey looks good, congratulations. Fine car.
Quick question, I noticed your seat back protectors were branded Volvo, did they come with it? or did you buy them as an accessory? I only ask as they look a good fit and cover whole seat back. Regards Buck |

Buck,
Yes they are from Volvo and they are a good fit going all the way down to the seat base you can see them on the Volvo Accessories Web site:- http://vccs.volvocars.se/Accessories...ent/VCC-425806 Part No. 31316570 I think they retail at around £27.33 each but I managed to persuade the dealer to include them as part of the deal. |
