Took mine to Constella in Shepshed to have a look at the blowing flexi (2nd time) to give me a quote and solution for my custom exhaust. Decided to try a new place instead of the original company as 2 blown flex's in 2.5 years aint good. looks like its a smaller one and some more echaust hangers to stop it from moving so much.

So far today i've fitted the front heated electric seats and fitted the child lock button (which has done nothing except fill a blank!)

Still on the to do list for today/tonight:

Fit Arcadias
Fit towbar
Replace heater control and headlight switch bulbs

Bought one of these.
Almost fits a keg.
For when you have parked your car overnight camping of course
and thrown away your keys.

About to screw a kettle on the console next to it of course.
Who cares about the passenger.
What passenger?

Talking

While waiting for my family, in the Asda carpark at Aberdeen beach, I met Nick_Ovlov.

It was a chance encounter, as he parked up and noticed my rather filthy looking car, with the anthracite craters and recognised the reg number.

Nice to meet you today, Nick!

Thumbs up

Going to order a new VVT pulley and the auxilliary belts this coming week.

I had a new timing belt fitted last May (8000 miles ago).

Do you think I should replace it again, as it has been in tension?

Service needs doing at the same time, too.

Thank god I got a bonus this month!

Gary

On my v40 today, new wipers, replaced the rear boot struts, and added a new washer bottle top (thanks fat tony).
I also removed the tow bar.....BLOODY HELL, what a faf!!
Managed to get rear bumper off, but manouvering the main bar out was a pain!
And my god if weights a ton!........hmmm I wonder if there will be an improved fuel consumption?

Glad to be of service

How come you had to remove the bumper to remove the towbar?
I removed one from a V40 in the scrapyard and fitted it to mine, never had to remove the bumper on either of them!
