True, that.

Anyway- ive just been on a "trip".
nothing long, just the usual from one place to another.

But for a change i was paying a lil bit more attention to cars coming from across.

i counted 3 cars with badly adjusted "classic" lights, that gave my eyes a bit of struggle...

and maybe 30 of the "bi-xenon-self adjusting-super-hiper-latexwrapped-buzzword-buzzword-buzzword" ..
That did the same. Thats nearly 1/3rd of cars seen.

So previous claims were based on not paying attention, perception.

With eyes able to detect that sort of detail in the dark, whilst driving, I'm surprised you need lights.

Take the blinkers off T, they're blinding you.

Do you really believe being subjective, rather than objective, reflects reality?

Now youre just picky

of course on normal commute i dont care what the hell is it, its either blinding me or not.

Today, because of you mentioning number of drivers of "older" cars with maladjusted lights, ive been counting

Yeh, but you've been counting what you want to be seeing, rather than what you know you saw.

Not very scientific!

Oh i do very well know what i saw

mix of cars, about 60 percent running on old, halogen lights, and only these few had issues

and out of remaining, good third were dazzlers..

BTW:
me stating openly that my viewpoint is biased doesnt mean that yours isnt

Absolutely, what your viewpoint is has nothing to do with how I arrive at mine, and it certainly doesn't make mine biased.

My mind is open, I just need more evidence to conclude any car that blinds is due to...

I will happily agree that more modern cars lights dazzle. Some seem borderline main beam in dip

Totally agree George. I was out first thing this morning and I could barely see ahead because an oncoming car with ( presumably ) modern LED lights was approaching from the opposite direction.

He wasn't on main beam but the effect of these incredibly bright lights on other motorists was the same as badly aligned conventional lights.

It can only get worse

Yip me too, but I don't particularly blame it on either; poor self levelling, brighter xenons, brighter LEDs, poor Audi auto dipping, poor adjustment, forgetful drivers, or my eyes not adjusting as quickly as I get older.

I suspect it's a combination, I won't suggest which is has the greater influence on seeing less in oncoming traffic, however I'd hazard a guess my eyes are not far behind any other single reason.
