I think subaqua was referring to the Audi 80 his father owned. Not a Volvo. I had an 80 and I'd agree subaqua, I'm sure you got either Sport or SE.

Volvo, on the other hand, certainly did do SE Sports.

Yes on the V50 you could indeed get various options around a certain year and they all exist:
  • Sport
    SE Sport
    R-Design
    R-Design SE
    R-Design Sport
    R-Design SE Sport

I on the other hand have no idea with regards to teh Audi.

Yep we have a very recently acquired T5 AWD also. Watch this space for a new project

Does that mean there might be some new T5 goodies ??? was it the one on ebay last week, have to admit I was tempted with the 4wd but there don't seem to be many about so not sure how reliable the AWD system is

Can one of the Shark guys answer me a question...

As you say bhp is torque over a specific time, or to be more precise torque x RPM divided by 5250. So in theory the torque/bhp curves should meet at that point (5250 RPM). Why is it then on some power/torque graphs like RICA's for example they don't?

Is it a quirk of the measuring point that sometimes bhp lags torque by a bit or is it the result of comparing bhp with NM of torque rather than lbs/ft?

correct about the Audi comments.

I have seen R Design SE with extras on that would be on a SE Lux so would that make a R design SE Lux ?

it used to be easy once upon a time to work out what level of trim and performance cars were.

Yes, I believe the guys at Shark can do some pretty impressive stuff -even to diesels!

All this is meant in good jest I hope you realise. If you want a car with low down grunt for some relaxed sauntering around in then turbo diesels are great. I've been out in some pretty rapid ones including a beemer 530d and Audi A4 3.0TDI. Both felt pretty quick and had a nice engine note into the bargain. I'm lucky enough to have had a go in a Mitsubishi Evo FQ360 and, annoyingly, everything else has felt pretty slow since (my T5 included!).

Good luck with the re-map.

Well our intercooler is now available, as is the Milltek exhaust, big brake kit will be available soon, cold air intake and hose kit are in development and should be available soon!

With over 300bhp available from the stock turbo we're unsure whether to work on the hybrid turbo or not, due to potential issues on 2.5 engines.
