Default E10 Fuel is coming

There is an interesting article written by John Neilson in the Volvo Driver magazine this month,on the subject.
This fuel with 10% ethanol will become the standard grade fuel in the UK next year.
In the article it states " Volvo cars are cleared for E10 in all Volvo cars with petrol engines introduced to the market since 1976....".
What is the situation with B18 and B20 engined cars?
What is the situation for the above cars that had had a lead free conversion?
Owners with cars in France, Germany, Belgium and USA may have experience to shine on this subject.....

My understanding is that 99 octane will still be 5% ethanol after E10 has been introduced for lower octane rating fuels.

We've had E10 fuel for many years in North America, mostly "Much ado about nothing", or tempest in a teapot. Car runs just fine. Just make sure your rubber fuel lines are ethanol resistant.

Shell here supplies 92 octane with no ethanol. Another supplies 94 octane with 10% ethanol , I haven't noticed a difference.

92 octane, chip fat has higher volatility!!
Is there a difference between the octane ratings in the US and UK?
The lowest here is 97 and I can definitely tell the difference between that and my normal 99.

Not sure this link is definitive, but yes, Europe and N.America use different octane rating systems.

i thought standard unleaded was 95RON.

E10 will demand new fuel hoses.

I upgraded softlines to r9 a few years ago.

beware fake hose on ebay.
