The screw through jubilee clip is normal.

The two orange seals at either end of the resonator are a common failure and are not expensive to renew.

That said, many people including myself have removed the resonator completely and replaced it with a dedicated silicone hose.

Thanks for the response. I cannot figure out why you would have a nice seal between two pipes which contain high pressure and then screw right through the lot creating a weak spot, but hey I'm not an engineerI guess.

I had already ordered the new seals and new SS jubilee clip but will have to drill a hole through it if I want to replace this screw. The problem is the screw already just spins and cannot tighten fully so now what....a bigger screw?

If this all fails I have already looked at these pipes you mention and will quickly opt for one of those.
