Bonnet wanted

Does anyone know of good breakers for body panels ? Storm Katie blew off a roof tile that smashed onto my v70 bonnet ! If any one has one to sell , Silver if possible please pm me.

After looking at a couple of second hand bonnets I decided to get it done via insurance. P3 body panels seem very scarce and expensive even for a tatty examples that needed dents filling and painting.

Yes, it's going to ba few more years before these cars turn up in the breakers yards and parts prices become reasonable!

.....hope you're luckier than me with that insurance claim .... I had exactly the same circumstance a few years ago .... Also had full comp. insurance on the car and separate house insurance...... with different companies .... Both refused to pay out as " ...... You cannot claim off yourself " I.e. Car and house both in my name.. Therefore ineligible...... Unless their rules have changed.

Unless you've got a good broker who can bend the rules, be careful when you first make contact with your insurers .... Car / house in different names ?... Wife's name .... Parked at arelations overnight ...?. Good luck.

Hi Topper . Insurance company has been fantastic. I called them on Monday morning and explained the problem and they agreed I would be covered under"accidental damage" They then arranged every thing. Repairers contacted me Tuesday morning and collected car and delivered a courtesy caron Wednesday morning . Called me later that day to explain what was happening then called me Friday morning to tell me it was repaired . New bonnet fitted and painted. Delivered it back to me yesterday afternoon. Brilliant. Sorry to hear about your problems. You only know how good a company is when you actually have to use them.
