Default front centre storage area jammed - can't open

Can anyone advise:

The centre storage area by the gear lever is completely jammed open, not the long sliding one, but the smaller one under the volume control. I opened it today and it locked open, I pushed it forward to release and its completely stuck. It won't pull back, push forward it's just jammed open.

There was nothing in it and it hasn't been used so this is mechanical. Anyone else had similar issues, I have the Carbon trim.

Thanks :-(

Looks like there's a recent TJ for the problem. Dealer will know.

They are not normally released to the public.
You need a friendly Service Manager to get a copy.

Thanks Tem, maybe better not to see them to avoid thinking something is affecting my car when it is not.

Yes, if you have OCD it's probably best not to look at the list!

I happened to find it while Googling something.
