Default insurance company

This lady backed into my yellow t5r sedan. caused about 3000 dollars worth of damage. Needs all new parts. The hood and bumper and headlight wiper motors. Now her insurance company dosen't want to pay to repair it and they want to call it a loss. Its not that bad at all. Still drives fine and all lights work. No damage to the frame or radiator or fan. Has 177K. they say the repairs are to much and not worth fixing now.lol What crooks they are. Here someone hits my car and somehow im paying for it???? just wrong. Is there anyway to make them pay for the repairs and not have the car salvaged??
Thanks

Is it possible for them to write the car off, pay you the insured value and then you buy it back from the salvage company and do the repair work with that cash?

This can work in the UK. Have a word with the insurance company, if they can recoupe some of their losses they may he happy to do a deal with you
