Default Keyless entry after battery change.

Hi all,

Changed the battery in my 62 plate XC70 a few days ago and the keyless entry and engine start is playing up a bit. I can’t always open the doors without using the button on the key and sometimes the car doesn’t recognise the key is in the car. Batteries were both new and fully charged (checked on a multimeter).

Anyone have any suggestions or advice?

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs down Keyless entry issues

I have a similar problem and also looking for any ideas, unlocked my V40 with the fob yesterday and sat in the car with my foot on the clutch and when pressing the start/stop all lights went out. As the dash was dead and no interior lights I assumed it was a fuse. Central fuse no29 was blown which I changed but now the keyless entry doesn’t work, I can start the car by placing the fob in the key holder slot but having changed the batteries in the fob it still doesn’t work
