So to summarize:

Yes you can fit one
No it won't affect performance
Yes they have the possibility of ruining MAFS due to filter oil fouling the MAF element
No your car doesn't have a MAF so the above point is irrelevant
Yes I would recommend fitting one, I had one in my s40 for 2 years, just gave it a blast with my air gun when I serviced the car (I almost mentioned the word oil there, but didn't!)

Now kill this thread with fire before you know what happens....

Extra virgin olive oil......that's what I've switched to now.
That is also my answer to any questions with the 'o' word.
And as a bonus you can put it on your salad.

What brand and do you have any analysis results for it?

Anything Italian and from M&S, (Or Aldi, Lidl Morrison's but must be Italian).
No, I don't think anyone would want to analyse it when I've finished with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
