Will try the 102 octane when I'm in Germany in a couple of weeks and let you know if significantly different performance/economy.
Not sure a tank or 2 will show you much difference, unless it is nearly completely empty, the benefit isn't noticed until it is pure new fuel with if mixing could take a lot more fill ups.
I was thinking of only using Shell a couple of years ago to see if there was any benefit over cheap supermarket stuff and someone told me that it would take I think 6 full ups until you saw the benefit from the purer fuel, then if you had to use the odd fill up from supermarket you'd be back at square 1. Didn't bother in the end

Thumbs up More power

Really only need 3 complete fill ups to show a difference and IMHO it does work more MPG and more power.

Thanks for the info, but can I ask you how you determined this?
Was is more of a subjective feeling or do you have some clever gadgetry with which you could tell?

Honda Pan European gains about 7mph on the top speed with Shell V+ in it.

The Honest John web site of the Daily Telegraph has done a number of trials using Shell V Power and has a lot of figures to prove the advantage of it's use and the accepted is it needs 3 fill ups to gain any advantage.
