Angry Blue smoke from front

Good morning,

So this morning when I started the engine, I noticed blue smoke coming from under the front pasenger side fender, it smelled like unburnt diesel or something like that, when the engine reaches working temp the smoke is gone.

I have Volvo XC90 D5 136kw engine, anyone had same problem?

Do you by any chance have the parking heater option fitted?

By some accounts these can be very smoky, are located where you describe the source of the smoke to be and possibly kicking-in now that outside temperatures are dropping?

OP is from Lithuania, so this could well be the issue.

Good lateral thinking!!

Cheers

Exactly.

I've never seen a platform 2 or 3 with one fitted here in the UK (more's the pity) but my understanding is that it's quite a common thing in central and eastern European markets. Something to consider anyway.

Cheers.

I think you're right Dave, I believe I recall correctly him singing its praises in a few threads.

However we don't seem to see him around here anymore. Hopefully he and his are all still well and it's just that he's naturally slipped out of Gen 1 ownership.
