2ltr d2 new fuel return line fitted today but now i have a problem the final stretch of pipe from the last injector leading to a junction box which may or may not be associated with the problem will not stay in place and is forced off by the pressure? haven't a clue what the problem is considering everything is push fit why wont it stay on? I've cleaned and dried the fittings but still gets forced off a blockage maybe??

Not done yet, but what I will do:
My naturally aspirated S60 has clogged catalytic converters, I have the variant with two cats. The second cat is very likely clogged, not a whole lot, but enough to make a difference. I have three options: 1. Replace it from a donor car 2. Try to clean with additives. 3. Entirely remove it. |

2. Any success data on the products involved? Your nickel, as they say 3. Is that legal / moral? Insurance conflicts? |

#3 yes it's legal. You might get a lower emissions category, but thats about it. Tens of thousands of cars over here have no catalytic converters, and not for performance reasons either, it's because they cost money so most sell them. Or when they are clogged.
But whilst I wouldn't care otherwise, I'd like to keep the higher emissions category, as once I get a lower one, it's permanent. Thus lower resale value. #2. On Amazon there's about 3-4 thousand reviews mostly positive about Dura Lube Severe catalytic converter treatment, like most say it works. That is a fuel additive, but there are also a bunch where you have to spray directly on the cat if you can take it out. So yeah it could be wasted money, but on the off chance it works, it would be great. |
