Angry How do I remove the lens from my headlight?!

Driving home from work and I had a dipped beam failure come up so when I got in I went to change the h7 lamp only to find the crimp connection has burnt and the plastic insulation has burn away! The resulting smoke from the plastic has left a haze on the inside of the lens and needs cleaning ASAP! I've had a look but can't for the life of my figure out how to get it off! Anyone else had a similar incident or taken their lens off. All help is much appreciated!

It's a plastic lens. I tried lifting the clips with a screw driver but it wouldn't budge. I didn't want to force it in case I broke it. Do you know how to remove it?
Cheers

Personally I'd have tried removing headlight, take out bulbs and try with some cleaner, and cloth, using a long bar (like a 3/4" ratchet extension or the like), poked through where bulbs go, then just leave to dry, just think to much heat and lens will discolour or bloom
