Volvo Assistance after 1st year..
Do Volvo send you something inviting you to extend the cover after the first year of ownership?
If anyone has renewed has it been good VFM (I know with all insurance products that's different for people's attitude to risk). Mine will be up soon and I'm looking into options with RAC/AA etc. |

You should get a letter offering an extension, The cost is £85.00 for one year, slightly cheaper/year, if you take it out for two years. Do not think you will get a better deal, as it covers you when in Europe. tem, |

The renewal for 2 years is £155, think this is excellent value as it covers you for Europe as well.
To compare, on a quick quote on RAC website, one year cover for 1 person (as European cover not available for vehicle cover) with all the extras, home, recovery, onward travel... with online discount comes to £280.88 I'll definitely be taking the 2 years renewal when mine comes due. |

European Assistance
I took out three years additional cover from new (in France) cost 1200€ but covers everything (not consumables) with an XC90 as a loan vehicle covered throughout Europe. Pleased so far as my turbo failed two weeks after the original g/tee expired, it has paid for itself already given repair costs in France and I still have two years to go.
