I know a guy who started tuning his VW TDi and it has cost a fortune(you wouldn't believe!)!
It went like brown stuff of a pole..... Over 210BHP out of a diesel 2 litre.

Until last weekend when it all went bang.
Leaving its entrails all over the road!

Problem is that it was just about as powerful as a GTi and ended up giving no more than 35MPG!
The whole purpose of the diesel engine is fuel economy (at least I thought it was!) so why try to make it perform like a petrol engine?
I know you can get 40+MPG out of a GTi so why not buy one?
What you are looking at on FleaBay looks cheap and tacky and probably does more harm than good.
Better to trade your car it on for a petrol one if you want to up the performance.

If you check out some of the posts on here or speak to dieselbob tuning your advised to buy a digital tuning box which tend to be more expensive some of the cheaper ones just throw more fuel into the system which can cause problems with bore wash etc. Some one has recently purchased a tuning box like this one search it out and contact them to see how its going and then you can decide for yourself.
