Default S70 Fuel Filter change

Hi all - has anyone changed the fuel filter on a 97 - 2000 S70 ifso could you give a little guidance please.

I presume you mean a Tdi? If so, it'll be tight. It's held in a metal sleeve which is bolted to the inner wing with three nuts. Remove the sleeve from the wing then loosen the sleeve (it clamps against the fuel filter). You can then withdraw the filter from the sleeve which is unscrewed from the upper filter housing using a strap wrench but you'll need to hold the top of the filter housing with a socket. It's not too bad to do. You'll also have had to unclip fuel lines from the filter housing - be careful with weak plastic clips! Some people prime the new filter with diesel, otherwise you'll have to crank the engine some time to prime the pump. regards.
