Pushing my C30 T5 by hand along the driveway...
...requires MUCH more effort than other cars, why?
Sometimes I can't be bothered to start up my cars when I need to move them a little on the driveway so I'll just unlock, open, drop the handbrake and push them by hand a few feet. This is generally easy for the cars that might be on the drive: Golf, Clio, Qashqai, but the C30? It requires all my effort to move it just a little, but why?? I previously had a 4WD Audi that was really tough to move but figured that was down to the two diffs/4WD, but no such stuff on the Volvo. I have no symptoms of a sticky caliper but with new front calipers to go on imminently I'll get the rears checked out, but just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Yes I have found the same with my S40, and I do the same as you because I don't like starting the engine just to move a few feet. My drive is almost flat but the Volvo takes the most effort to shift.

Good to know. I wonder if there's some 'safety feature' that they have or if ABS 'mildly' applies the brakes when switched off? Very odd.

Golf and Clio is probably less weight than C30 with T5, no? Also seeing size of your wheels I suspect wider tyres has something to do with it?
I am able to push my v50 a bit by myself, if needed, dont really think its that much harder than similar car, but in general those weight a bit.

So I'm thinking tyre width/pressure. The tyres on mine are 225/35/19 but recently I've been thinking they look like they need more air in them (just upped them to 37.5psi/2.6 bar). Anyone got any thoughts on that pressure in the fronts on 19s? Pic attached here but angles can be deceptive to be honest... Untitled

"Old" wisdom said not to over inflate tyres as they will wear more in the middle.
My Corsa has an "ECO" pressure quoted, does this just mean that it is still safe up to that pressure, but with the obvious harder ride?
