Information
  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

What does an F signify on the 8th digit of a 2001 VIN (V50) please? I can only find C or D. Thanks.

Emissions version 1. Don't ask me what that means though.

DRIVe models use letters as the 8th character of the VIN, as opposed to numbers.

If the 8th character of your VIN is "E" & "F" for example, it means the car has a DPF.

I know I mentioned this in another thread of yours, but just in case anyone reads this in future, or searches through the forum looking for an answer as to what "E" & "F" means.

Spot-on, thanks again. I put this thread up before the other one found its way to the VIN as well. The great thing is this info will still be useful to some poor demented soul in 10 years time.
