Question STP Fuel Injector Cleaner, Any Good?

Is this bottle of STP Fuel Injector Cleaner any good... I know everyone says to (or not to) use Redex BUT, I have also heard some good reviews about STP products.

What does everyone think about this product (STP Fuel Injector Cleaner). I bought a bottle to clean my injectors and haven't used it yet. I'm just wanting to see other peoples thoughts on it. Does it help? Will it ruin my engine?

Thanks for any help.

P.S - I didn't buy this product for any performance gains, only purely to clean my injectors.

It's not bad... but the best results you'll have with "Metabond".

Metabond Megasel for diesel engines & Metabond Megalene for petrol engines.

Good Luck!

It will work a little but I got mine ultrasonic cleaned by jimathan and it produced noticable difference in smoothness and willingness to rev, well worth the extra money.

I used Metabond for about 1 year, with very good results. But you should be careful with the dosage... i remember that was 1 cap (5cl) for 20L of gas.

If you want something with fast & professional results, try the sonic or chemical procedure, in an auto workshop.

Regards!

I think products like this are a bit hit and miss, they must work to some degree or they wouldnt be on sale, I opted for the ultrasonic clean done by Jimathan and it was well worth it, I watched the injectors being cleaned and you can actually SEE the difference and then feel the difference when put back in,

I cant see that STP stuff doing any harm to your car, I have used it in the past on other cars but i think I convinced myself that it made a difference rather than actual proof of it, If youve bought it now you might as well give it a go, let us know how you get on

Thanks everyone,
I will keep you all updated on this STP product...

I would give Jimathan's service a go, but I don't have the confidence to remove the injectors myself.
