How to remove '2.4D' badge ?
Any suggestions on how to remove the '2.4D' badge from the back of a V70. Will it leave marks? Has anyone tried it?

warm it gently, then some fishing line to "cut" the badges off, although i managed to just pull mine off with my finger nails and a credit card. then a bit of polish to remove the marks. so easy even i managed it... scott |

Credit card - slide in gently - keeping pushing and prising - hey presto.
Pull residue glue off of bodywork and rear of the badges. Tar/traffic/wax remover ( I use Autoglym products) to clean bodywork residue AFTER pulling most off with fingertips. Then buy some double sided tape. Take the 2. badge and using a stanley blade cut off the . Now trim double sided tape and adhere to the rear of the 2 and 4 and . badges. Add the badges in order 4 then . then 2 then D. Funnily enough I drive a 2008/9 V70 D5 and 2007 S60 4.2D. One is 185bhp and the other 361bhp |

If you're not a fishing type, dental floss works just as well...

Dazzle I can understand anyone removing the rear badges as I like the look without the stick on ones and I hate the fact that these stick on badges are always the same cheap nasty things and what is the point of them , the first time I did it on a brand new Austin Montego in 1983 and even in those days it was embarrasing to have to drive one , having successfully removed all traces of the very large and long austin and montego and 1.6L signs a few people in the office asked me what type of car that is in the car park so I told them it was a new model of BMW , it was at least a month before anyone realised what it was , mind you they are so rare these days that you would probably still get away with it . My company made the error of judgement in standardising on Montegos and I was unlucky enough to get one of the first off the production line .
