Stainless steel load sill protector for RD cars

Replaced a transparent film load sill protector with this matte finish stainless trim, to add some pizzazz to my rear end

Factory-like fit, with sufficient bumper edge protection (unlike the OEM piece..), at less than half the price of the OEM part. Plus it nicely complements the matte trim of the RD cars.

Also offered in matte black and polished (chrome-like..) finish.

Looks better than the Volvo one imo as it appears to offer protection for the edge of the bumper as well. More reasonably priced too!

Any idea why they say it doesn’t fit an R-Design?

@MichaelDH: no idea.. the upper part of the bumper is identical on all trims.. It fit my RD perfectly.

@GTA SOL: super easy- took me no more than 10 min to remove the transparent film protector I had before, clean/degrease the surface, mark the center with a pencil and fit the trim piece.

I've fitted one of the polished stainless finish of these from the same source to my V90 Inscription, a really quality item that gives better protection than the genuine Volvo accessory one. It simply secures with extremely strong 3M tape that is pre-installed on the back.

Be mindful that it's a 'one chance impact adhesive fit' so get the positioning spot-on before you press it in place!
