Default Headlight lacquer

Refurbished both my headlights with the autoglym kit - looked great and got rid of the pitting /‘ scratches etc.

Used the e-tech clear lacquer - in a warm dry garage and left the headlights to harden in the house for 12+ hours. Put the lights back on the car, it rained in the afternoon but car was not used. In the early evening I noticed that a lot of the lacquer had gone milky bluey.

End up scraping all the lacquer off.

Anybody have any ideas why this happened? Feels like a reaction to the rain although the lacquer was dry. Reluctant to spray them again without knowing why it happened....

Thanks in advance.

The lacquer needs UV to cure. Leave it in sunlight.

Do you have wife/girl friend, who is doing her own nails at home? The lamps used there are ideal for UV light...
