Windscreen washer help!!!
I have searched this forum and read a number of posts with people having similar issues but I cant seem to find a fix for my problem. Please forgive if I've missed the answer on this one.
I have a '02 V40 1.8 and the windscreen washers have stopped working. I had this happen earlier this year and without further investifation I just bought a new pump off ebay. Swapped it out and it worked fine. So all was well and good again until it stopped a couple of weeks ago. I figured that it shouldn't have knackered a pump again in such a short space of time, but regardless went ahead and order another pump thinking the other might have been faulty somehow. So I have swapped the pump again and it still isn't working. So I figure now that I have to fully functioning pumps and clearly the problem lies elsewhere. The lines were nice and clear before it stopped working and I've disconnected before the non return valve and still nothing comes through so its not a blockage. The wipers work fine. The rear screen wash works fine. I've checked the fuses in the cabin and they are good. The pump doesn't seem to make a sound when the washer stalk is pulled. I don't know where else to look. What is my next option. The weather is starting to get ****e and not having a working screen wash is gonna be a ball-ache. Any help would be much appreciated folks. Thanks in advance.
