I bought one of these, works well and can leave on as long as you want.

The charger in the link has an EU/US plug so you would have to have a plug adaptor to use it in the UK.

Mine came with a 3pin adapter plug that just clips over the 2 pin plug so no worries, it hasn’t made any difference to my battery though! It did supposedly charge it up from 40% but the low battery message is still coming up... new battery once this one dies fully is on the cards.

I did have a look for a charger as mine is an old one for lead acid batts not the fancy AGM ones we have now.

Mine was parked up for god knows how long with the battery disconnected so it maybe the same as yours where it needs a proper overnight charge.

Do you remember where you bought your charger and if it was a reasonable price? EBay have them for about £25 but they look abit Micky mouse for my liking. But if you used one like it from eBay then I’ll get one but I won’t bother if I can spend a little more and get a proper one with accurate readings, charging specs and will last a few charges lol.

I do feel at some point I’ll have to bite the bullet and get a battery but I want push it as far as I can!🤣 thanks again bud
Sorry for the delayed response missed your question and I can see you have ordered one. I have had a CTEK charger for many years that works fine. I won it in car magazine competition, sorry so don't know price or where they are available.

But CTEK are quite popular and should be quite easy to find.

Default Exact same problem

I to had this problem and despite some long trips the message kept reappearing and SS did not work.

I charged the battery using this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and made sure it was set to AGM. Car has been fine ever since.

The positive terminal on the smaller battery is very hard to reach, so I think is not meant to be diy charged.
